Opening for Andy Squyres

(EDT, UTC-04) (EDT, UTC-04)

Broadway Christian Church, 910 Broadway , Fort Wayne

I get to open for one of my favorite songwriters, Andy Squyres!!

Singer-songwriter Andy Squyres returns to Ft Wayne for an up close evening of acoustic songs, stories, laughter and hope.

All Oxford commas intended, Andy Squyres has a way with words, and I absolutely endorse him as a trickster and a fool, in the most perfect and technical sense. He is deeply introspective with an unorthodox sincerity and an unrelenting devotion. He has no Sunday School answers.

Longest Night Gathering

(EST, UTC-05) (EST, UTC-05)

Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Road, Fort Wayne, IN

7:00 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church 7211 Stellhorn Road Fort Wayne, IN 46815 I’ll be leading this gathering along with my friends Rev. Daniel Bellinger (Parkview Chaplain) and Cody Hardley (Licensed Spiritual Director). Longest Night is a simple, reflective gathering to remember our loved ones no longer with us. The Christmas season is often marked by expressions of joy, excitement, and happiness. It’s a time for family to gather and for churches to worship pointing to the hope that is found in the coming of the Christ child. However, this time of joy and expectation can often overshadow the pain and hurt many people experience during this season. Join us for this simple, reflective worship gathering to remember our loved ones no longer with us during this holiday season.

UPCOMING HOUSE CONCERTS I'M HOSTING

We are thrilled to welcome (back) two of Nashville's finest, Caleb Christopher Edwards and Machaela Nesler. Caleb is a virtuoso mandolin player and one of my favorite songwriters. He writes deeply honest songs, rooted in faith, spirituality, and the experience of growing up in small-town Indiana. He's played on stages from the Grand Ole Opry to our living room and everything in between. Machaela is a new friend we met while she was on tour with Skye Peterson. I was immediately drawn to the gentle spirit of her presence and voice. She is a wonderful guitar and violin player, and I can't wait for everyone to hear her songs!

There is no set ticket price, but we recommend $15-20 per person and ask that you donate generously when you reserve your spot and/or at the show. All money collected will go directly to Caleb and Machaela to support their creative work.

SPACE IS LIMITED AND RSVP REQUIRED (Use the link on this page) Please reach out with any questions to brian@threadbarecreative.com

An Evening with Johan Glidden

The Spahr House, 3321 Kirkfield Dr, Fort Wayne

We are thrilled to welcome the amazing Johan Glidden to our living room. Maybe you've seen Johan playing with Andrew Peterson on The Resurrection Letters tour, or maybe you haven't heard him yet. Either way we are in for a special night, so join us!

There is no set ticket price, but we recommend $15-20 per person and ask that you donate generously when you reserve your spot and/or at the show. All money collected will go directly to Johan to support his creative work.

SPACE IS LIMITED AND RSVP REQUIRED (Use the link on this page) Please reach out with any questions to brian@threadbarecreative.com

Johan is a prolific singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist working in Nashville, Tennessee. Raised in a household full of music, Johan picked up a violin at 5 years old and has been creating ever since.

Since 2020, he has released 26 songs, including Unprepared, his debut full-length album and Some Kind of Peace on Earth, a collection of original Christmas music. As a self-produced recording artist, he's enjoyed the adventure of releasing music in multiple genres, including folk lament On Rocky Ground, all-out worship anthem Still Small Voice and soul-pop jam The Way I Think.

Johan seeks to keep himself (and his listeners) entertained musically while sharing his honest journey through daily life as a Christian in the 21st century. His lyrics often explore questions about friendship, personal doubt, church hypocrisy, recovery and nostalgia.

Johan has received multiple accolades for his songs, including his piano ballad, Double Yellow Lines, which was listed in American Songwriter's “Songs that we absolutely love" in 2023.

His influences range from Rich Mullins to The Beatles to Foy Vance to John Mayer, and his favorite pastime is reading a novel that's way beyond his comprehension while drinking a verifiably unhealthy amount of coffee.
